Our hotel in Estoril (outside Lisbon, Portugal)
The view from our room
Beautiful colors
These divers would capture squid and then you would find it in the menu at the local restaurants. Sharon and I were not fortunate enough to have a taste!
Remember the green trees in the background.
The tower in the earlier picture, well, this is Sharon in the elevator of that tower as we head up (or down-can't remember).
Bull Fighting Arena
There was a soccer match that day and the police were out in force.
Mosteiro dos Jeronimos
Torre de Belém
They sure love ceramic and they should not be under-estimated in what they can do with this!
Sharon is so happy when she is overseas!
Sharon and I had a very nice supper and unique serving on top of that!
This is basically a collection depicting the sensational colors of Portugal
Why is this a big picture you ask? Well, look in the background. Sharon found one. There is a Starbucks in Lisbon.
The NATO group we had supper with that night.
Isn't this a lovely picture of Sharon?
It does not show, but this Moor Castle was high, and I am hanging on for dear life. Is a picture from the heights really worth it?
Ya, this is the way, just sit back and relax.
St George's Castle
The tree in the background to Sharon's right is refereed to in an earlier picture. That is to show you where we actually are located.
See the colors accentuating Sharon. If this were Canada, the roofs would all be bland!
This has got to be one of my top 10 pictures from the holiday in Portugal.
So you think you are safe with no stores in the area! Think again. Sharon found a guitar player willing to sell his CD's--go Figure! Plus she gave him a tip! No wonder he looks stunned.
Doesn't this scene make you think of Portugal?
Yes, Sharon is striking again-sorry, I meant spending again!
This is the Lisbon metro system
